Now open. First plans: a month, a quarter, and half a year.

Opening day · readtheplate.com

The plate reader is open.

Point the camera at what you are about to eat. You get calories, protein, carbs and fat from the plate itself. No barcode hunt, no guessing a cup of rice.

What you actually get

Most calorie apps sell a database and leave you to search it. Here is the specification.

InputOne photo

The plate, from above, in ordinary light. The photo is read and then thrown away. We keep the numbers, not the picture.

OutputMacros, item by item

Each food named, with a portion in grams, then calories, protein, carbs and fat. Plus a one-line note when the photo is hiding something, like oil or a sauce.

SpeedWhile you are still at the table

The read comes back in a few seconds. There is no person in the loop and no email to wait on.

LogYours for the plan you bought

Month, quarter or half year. The half-year plan adds a weekly total of what you actually logged, not a meal plan someone else wrote.

If it missesFull refund, 7 days

Reply to the receipt. No form, no explanation required, no partial credit.

Pick how long you want the camera

Three plans. Same app. The price is fixed and nothing is upsold once you are inside.

Read one plate before you pay

This is the shape of a result. If the writing is vague, you will know before you buy.

How a scan happens

1

You pick a plan

Name, email, and how long you want the reader open. About a minute.

2

You photograph the plate

From above, the whole plate in frame. The reader names what it can see and estimates the portion.

3

The numbers stay in your log

Calories and macros, meal by meal, for as long as the plan runs.

The things people ask before paying

How accurate is a photo?

Good enough to see the plate, not a lab scale. A piece of chicken and a mound of rice read clearly. A creamy sauce, oil in the pan, or food stacked out of sight will move the fat and calorie numbers. The result says so when the photo is hiding something.

Do you keep my photos?

No. The photo is sent to the reader, the numbers come back, and the picture is discarded. The log stores the foods and the macros, tied to the plan you paid for.

Is this medical advice?

No. It is a log of what the camera could see. It does not prescribe a diet, diagnose anything, or tell you what you should weigh.

What if the reads are wrong?

Reply to the receipt within 7 days and you get the full amount back. No form, no explanation required.

When do I pay, and how?

You choose a plan and pay by card at the end. Your card details never touch Plate Help. The scanner opens the moment payment clears.

Point it at the plate you were about to guess.

One photo. Four numbers. A log you can look at later.
